OUR (4) CORE STRATEGIES TOWARDS ACHIEVING SDGs
CORE STrategies
Partnerships Learn More
The board leadership continues to evolve with core strategic and technical support from Lasco Chin Foundation and Bridge Foundation. Our strategic position continues to be strengthened by our international partners. United Nations Department of Economic & Social Affairs (UN DESA) set us on the path to be a recognized UN accelerated action. Both Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) and 1t.org platform continue to elevate our climate action strategies. The Alliance also benefits from the partnership of the Institute of Law & Economics and across the Caribbean, national partners are working closely with local tertiary institutions that provide technical resources and student support. |
Empowerment Learn More
Collectively our members are enhancing public interest and sharing compelling stories about the importance of community engagement and collaboration. Our youth are propelling into action national climate justice initiatives under our signature initiative – Caribbean Tree Planting Project, CTPP. Across the region, through our WE CARE (Women Entrepreneurs in the Caribbean Active, Resilient & Empowered) pilot initiative, we are sending unified supporting messages for gender equity, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and digitization for women. |
Climate Action Learn More
The Caribbean Tree Planting Project (CTPP) successfully galvanized (347) partners and (4, 854) youths and planted 1,517,483 trees during the period 2020-2021. Collectively with strong leadership support from The Trees That Feed Foundation, we continue to plant indigenous trees and fruit trees, protect and restore coastlines, create value proposition for different types of trees and propagate seeds to facilitate regional nursery development. Collectively our members are enhancing public interest and sharing compelling stories about the importance of community engagement and public awareness. |
Sustainable Financing Learn More
Our First Call to Action, a Caribbean Tree Planting Week, makes a strong statement for our governments to integrate approaches that meet nationally determined targets. We continue to explore with our partners carbon credit options and advocate for cross-sector financing, and creative funding streams to fund national projects and regional initiatives. We are also moving towards creating vehicles of exchange to understand “the look and feel of philanthropy in the Caribbean region” and a proactive membership network that facilitates regional sustainable change. |
